Is my PDF file secure when using this tool?
Absolutely. Your PDF is processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. No data is transmitted to any server, ensuring complete privacy and security for your documents.
What is the maximum file size I can process?
The tool can handle PDF files up to 100MB. Performance may vary based on your device's capabilities and the complexity of the PDF. For best results with large documents, consider splitting them into smaller sections.
Does this tool work on mobile devices?
Yes, the PDF Page Rearranger is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. The drag-and-drop functionality is touch-enabled for mobile use. For optimal performance on mobile, we recommend using recent versions of Chrome or Safari.
What types of PDFs are supported?
The tool supports standard PDF 1.7 format. It works best with text-based documents. PDFs with complex elements like embedded multimedia, forms, or advanced encryption may have limited functionality. Scanned PDFs are supported but won't have selectable text unless processed with OCR first.
Can I undo changes if I make a mistake?
While the tool doesn't have a multi-step undo feature, you can:
- Use the "Clear" button to reset to the original page order
- Re-add accidentally removed pages by uploading the file again
- Manually drag pages back to their original positions
Since your original file remains unchanged on your device, you can always start over by re-uploading.
Why isn't the tool loading my PDF?
If you're having trouble loading a PDF, consider these solutions:
- Ensure you're using a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Check that the file has a .pdf extension
- Verify the file isn't password-protected
- Try a smaller file to test if size is the issue
- Clear your browser cache and try again
If problems persist, try the sample PDF to confirm the tool is functioning properly.
Can I merge multiple PDFs with this tool?
Currently, this tool focuses specifically on rearranging pages within a single PDF document. For merging multiple PDFs, consider using a dedicated PDF merger tool. However, you can work around this limitation by:
- Merging PDFs using another tool first
- Uploading the merged document to this tool
- Rearranging pages as needed
